DJ Nite 2016

ASHA organized DJ Nite on 20th Feb, 2016 for the students of SHCS. Around 800 students, Alumni members & teachers danced to the numbers played by DJ Mukhtar. A fun filled evening for the students especially after the stress of the final exams.

Monsoon Camp 2016

The camp was attended by 90 girls of standard II to standard VI of SHCS on 14th & 15th August, 2016.

It was 2 days of fun and learning for these youngsters after their annual exams. The activities conducted were yoga, aerobics, best out of waste, and cooking without fire.

Udaan 2016

An inter school competition for the students of Hindi Project Schools conducted on 20th August, 2016, Saturday at 9.00 am in SHCS Primary Hall wherein twelve schools participated. The events included singing, dancing, mehendi designing, poster making etc.

Girl Child Day Celebrations 2016

Girl Child Day was organized by ASHA on 2nd November 2016 in SHCS Main Hall where Scholarships were given to 26 girls from 13 Hindi Project Schools. The chief guest for the function was Mrs. Shantha Vaidyanathan.


ASHA AGM was held on Sunday 31st January, 2016 in SHCS at 11.30 am. On this day a Press Conference was organised to bring about awareness of the Counscelling Cell functioning in the ASHA Room, near the KG Block of SHCS.

Asha’s Counselling Cell with four trained counsellors helps students with their emotional problems. The existence & functioning of this Cell was covered by two local dailies, Uditvani and Daink jagran.

Counselling Training by ASHA

Inauguration of a 4 day weekend seminar on 'An Integrated and Psychodynamic Approach to Counseling Skills' took place in the Main Hall of the SHCS on Saturday, 18th June at 3.00pm. The training will empower the participants to pick up symptoms, diagnosis & counseling skills to be applied. The Resource person for this training is Sister Marie Eugene. Fourteen teachers from various Schools across Jamshedpur & School Principals were a part of this training.

Closing ceremony & Certificate distribution of the 4 day seminar on 'An Integrated & Psychodynamic Approach to Counseling Skills' was organised by ASHA on Sunday, 26th June 2016 at 4.30 pm in SHCS. Mrs Daisy Irani & Ronnie D'costa graced the occasion

The next level of training was held on 24th & 25th September & on 1st & 2nd October 2016.In this session Sister Marie Eugene taught the Participants Psychometric: TAT and its scoring.

Annual Donations by ASHA

ASHA members visit Meherbai Cancer Hospital & Shishu Bhawan in the month of January to give a cash donation to these institutes. Prizes are given to meritorious students of SHC Project School.
