Workshop for Budding Writers
ASHA conducted a Writers' Workshop by Jane D'Souza for budding writers on 13th May at the Centre for Excellence. Her workshop was aimed to help budding writers, both young and old. The interactive session covered the following:
- how to focus more on creative expression
- therapeutic benefits of just expressing oneself
- independent styles of each person, and
- their obstacles to writing
Participants, 30 in number, were largely students from senior school. Besides, members of the Book Club, and the ASHA alumni were also present. Participants found the session very interactive with a lot of takeaways.
The President designate of ASHA, Manjeet Marwa welcomed the participants and highlighted the achievements of the Association. The Association’s major focus is on supporting education for the girl child. With this workshop ASHA has charted a new course as part of its annual activities.
